Services

At Southern Crescent stables, we offer "natural boarding" services that prioritize the well-being of your equine companions. Our approach involves 24/7 turnout in a group setting with only 1 herd and a max amount of 4-5 horses on entire property. Our facility utilizes self-care boarding, allowing your specific preferences. Self-care boarding comes with the use of your own courtesy stall* at no additional cost. Hay is provided in the pasture during winter months, and pastures are seeded annually. We follow a pasture rotation schedule to ensure sustainability for the land and to the benefit of the herd. Our focus is providing your horse the level of care as if they were our own, and living on-site, we are able to recognize injuries, lameness, or any behavioral changes.

Self-Care Board

  • Pasture hay during winter months
  • Use of your own personal courtesy stall* (if stall is used, it is the owners' responsibility to maintain and clean the stall)
  • Access to all property amenities including saddle racks and hooks in the tack room, wash racks, storage space, bathrooms, feed room, riding trails, arena, and more.

While we do have preferred farriers and veterinarians, you are free to use who you wish. We are able to offer to hold them for you during appointments if with our preferred vendors. If you have any questions regarding our services, or possible add ons, please contact us.

*Please note: Courtesy stall use is for feeding, temporarily holding, bad weather, injuries, etc. It is not intended for 1/2 day use year-round (i.e. horses stalled every night throughout the year regardless of weather or circumstance), as we are not able to accommodate large amounts of daily stall waste onsite. We do our best to ensure our personal sustainability practices by composting. Because of this, we are limited in the amount of daily waste disposal from stalls we can accommodate. For questions regarding stall use and waste disposal, please contact us.
